6th December marked the start of Christmas shopping for Kings road. In glorious sunshine all manner of stalls lined the street selling their wares. African beats mingled with Lennon’s War is Over (if only) and the smell of sizzling grub wafted through the air. The festivities continue on Friday 19th December with late night shopping until 8pm with Santa Claus, a carol concert, Christmas lights and a free prize draw. Er…..rock and roll!
