Firstly let me wish all my good readers a HAPPY NEW YEAR
Kings Road Stationers, the longest serving shop on Kings Road (over 100 years), has closed. So I guess this marks something of a new chapter in the history of the road. The good news, in my opinion, is that an art gallery will be replacing it. Which is all good because art = regeneration (think Hackney). And that is what St Leonards is all about – art and individuality. Indeed there are four or five art galleries on the road now. So here’s to another step up in the regeneration of Kings Road. Onwards and upwards I say!
PS Love the old sign – thought it might be one of Robert Tressell’s?
