Some people might whine about ‘another estate agent’, but I’m not one of them. Having a nationally recognized estate agency (endorsed by the lovely Linda Barker no less ), is clearly a major coup for Kings Road. Hunters (formerly Bairstow Eves) have opened their impressive new office at 6 Kings Road, and seem to be doing very well. So if you are looking for a local agent to sell your home, look no further than these guys. They have a national network, they advertise on all the major websites, they are local, and they are friendly. Its a no brainer! Remember folks, always try to ‘buy local’

Bairstow Eves marks 3 Years on King Road

Happy new year everyone. Just wanted to congratulate Bairstow’s on their 3rd anniversary on Kings Road. Judging by the number of sold boards I see around town, they seem to be going from strength to strength. The good thing about them is that they have offices all over the country, especially London – but they also have the feel of a ‘local agent’. If you’re looking to sell (or rent), why not pop into their office and have a chat!

New Florist for Kings Road

A florist will always make a nice addition to any road. Remember the song ‘If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to wear a flower in your hair…’ Peace and Love baby yeah! Better than bombs and torture eh? So the next time you’re in the dog house with the missus, you know what to do. Get yourself down to 40 Kings Road and buy her some flowers. Always does the trick!

Coast Cafe opens on Kings Road

As if more evidence were needed of the renaissance happening on Kings Road, Coast Coffee & Tea Rooms has just opened its beautiful shop to the public. Londoners will be familiar with this kind of classy cafe – indeed the owner Mel hails from London where he also owns the ‘Blue Mountain’ chain of cafes in East Dulwich and Sydenham. Check it out. I insist!

Back in January I posted a piece about the renowned local street artist Ben Eine painting shop shutters in Kings Road (scroll down to read it). Well it turns out that David Cameron’s wife has given one of Ben’s ‘Alphabet’ prints to none other than the president of the United States – Barack Obama. Something tells me those shops he painted could now be worth quite a lot more. Go Eine!
